First, titanium anode working life is long, diaphragm production of chlor-alkali industry, metal anode resistance to chlorine and alkali corrosion. Three, the working power is low, so the power consumption is small, can save the power consumption, DC power consumption can be reduced by 10% ~ 20%. The main reasons for the low working voltage of titanium anode are as follows:

1) The overpotential of active coated titanium anode to chlorine and oxygen is relatively low. When chlor-alkali was produced by brine electrolysis, the overpotential of titanium anode to chlorine was lower than that of graphite anode at 1A/cm2 by 140mV.

2) It can reduce the "bubble shielding effect". The bubbles generated on the metal anode surface are relatively small and fast, so that the inflation between the electrodes is greatly reduced, the ohmic drop between the poles is about 700mV, and the bubble diameter is about 3mm;

3) The resistance of the anode structure is reduced;

4) The distance between the poles is shortened.

4. The design concept and operating conditions of salt electrolyzer using DSA, mercury method and diaphragm method are improved, and the energy consumption is reduced. Low DSA over potential and easy elimination of bubbles on the surface between electrodes are important reasons for the voltage reduction of metal anode electrolytic cell. It is reported that in the 1960s, the annual electricity consumption of the world's salt electrolysis industry is about 150 billion degrees, the use of metal anode, can save about 300 million degrees of electricity every year. At the same time, titanium anode light weight, can reduce labor intensity.
