Common processing methods of molybdenum crucible

Over the years, Zhuohangxin has mainly processed and manufactured tantalum products, zirconium, niobium rods, tungsten, molybdenum products, zirconium and other materials products. The molybdenum crucible produced by Zhuohangxin is widely used in rare earth, vacuum, laboratory and other fields. As a professional manufacturer of molybdenum crucible, due to the high melting point and strength of molybdenum, the processing method of molybdenum crucible is difficult to some extent. The processing method of molybdenum crucible is shared as follows:

1) Plasma spraying

The powder was prepared by ball milling and spray drying, and then the powder was processed to a predetermined thickness by plasma spraying

Molybdenum deposit layer, and then the sedimentary layer of hot isostatic pressing treatment, to produce the required products. The advantages of this preparation method are that the size of molybdenum crucible is not limited, and its mechanical properties can be guaranteed in the process of hot isostatic pressing. However, this method is particularly wasteful and expensive.

2) Casting method

The molybdenum electrode is melted into liquid in the true shell furnace and then injected into the model. This method can be used to prepare molybdenum crucible of various sizes and save raw materials compared with plasma spraying method. However, the preparation process is complicated and a large number of molds need to be made. The melting point of molybdenum is high, and the melting needs to consume a lot of electric energy.

3) Stamping method

Molybdenum crucible was prepared by stamping technology using the shape of molybdenum slab under heating condition. The material utilization rate of molybdenum crucible prepared by stamping method can reach 75%, the material utilization rate is relatively high, and the strength of molybdenum crucible can be guaranteed. Its disadvantage is that it has a good effect on crucible with large wall thickness, but it is difficult to realize the process of crucible with large size and thin wall.

4) Welding method

A suitable molybdenum sheet was obtained according to the size of the required crucible, and the sheet was heated in the hydrogen aluminum wire furnace, then the reel was taken out and used

Vacuum welded case, welded seam and copper base. This method has the advantages of low cost, simple production process and suitable dimensional accuracy, but welding crucible

In the process of use, it is easy to crack at the weld and reduce the service life of the crucible, so the quality of the weld is higher.

5) Sintering method

Molybdenum and its alloy powder is formed by isostatic pressing, turning shaping and then sintering. Molybdenum and its alloy crucible

Molybdenum and its alloy crucible were prepared by sintering method. After trial and application, it was found that the crucible was up to the standard in terms of performance and dimensional accuracy. At the same time, this method has a high utilization rate of raw materials. However, the crucible is easy to deform in the process of sintering forming. The larger the crucible is, the thinner the wall is, the more easily it deforms, which restricts the application of this method in the production of large-size thin-walled crucible. In addition, the existence of pores in the sintering process of molybdenum crucible will reduce the strength of molybdenum crucible and affect the use of molybdenum crucible.
