Titanium anode for sewage treatment
Sewage treatment technologies include sedimentation, filtration, flocculation, biodegradation, electrolytic oxidation and other means. Electrolysis wastewater treatment, electrode not only plays a role in the transfer of current, but also plays a catalytic role in the oxidation degradation of organic matter, and will not cause secondary pollution, known as green water treatment technology. For the wastewater that can not be treated by biodegradation method, electrolytic oxidation method often has significant effect, so electrolysis water treatment technology has become a hot research topic of water treatment technology, has been more and more widely used. Electrolysis The basic principle of water treatment technology is to make the pollutants on the electrode direct electrochemical reaction or indirect electrochemical transformation, that is, direct electrolysis or indirect electrolysis.
1 Direct electrolysis: Direct electrolysis means that pollutants are directly oxidized or reduced on the electrode and removed from the wastewater. Direct electrolysis can be divided into anode process and cathode process. The anode process is the oxidation of pollutants on the anode surface and converted into less toxic substances or substances easy to be biodegradable, even organic inorganic, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing and removing pollutants. The cathode process is the removal of pollutants by reduction on the cathode surface, which is mainly used for the reduction and dehalogenation of halogenated hydrocarbons and the recovery of heavy metals.
2 Indirect electrolysis: Indirect electrolysis refers to the use of electrochemical REDOX substances as reaction agents or catalysts, so that pollutants into less toxic substances. Indirect electrolysis is divided into reversible and irreversible processes. The reversible process (electrochemical oxidation of media) refers to the electrochemical regeneration and recycling of oxidized reduction in the electrolytic process. Irreversible process refers to the process of oxidizing organic matter by using substances produced by irreversible electrochemical reaction, such as chlorate, hypochlorite, H2O2 and O3, etc., which have strong oxidizing properties, and can also use electrochemical reaction to produce intermediates with strong oxidizing properties, including solvated electrons, HO, and so on. HO2, O2- and other free radicals.
The new technology of electrolysis water treatment has no need to add chemical agents, small equipment size, small footprint, no secondary pollution, has been used to deal with hydrocarbon, alcohol, aldehyde, ether, phenol and other organic pollution of the wastewater. COD removal mainly depends on the oxidation reaction on the anode surface, which directly oxidizes and degrades organic matter on the anode surface, so that the organic matter in sewage can be directly or indirectly converted into CO2 and water through electrochemical conversion. The anode potential must be higher than the decomposition potential of organic matter, so the oxidation and oxygen evolution of organic matter are two competitive reactions on the anode. The shape of the anode has plate type, tube type, net type and other forms for users to choose, reliable quality.
