Molybdenum target material, molybdenum is a silver-white metal, molybdenum atomic radius is 0.14nm, atomic volume is 235.5px/mol, coordination number is 8, crystal is Az type body-centered cubic crystal system, space group is Oh (lm3m), no isomerism transformation has been found in it so far. The lattice parameters of Mo at room temperature range from 0.31467 nm to 0.31475nm and vary with the impurity content. Molybdenum has a very high melting point and ranks the sixth in nature. It is called refractory metal, as shown in Table 2. Molybdenum has a density of 10.23g/cm, about half that of tungsten (19.36g/cm). Molybdenum is a paramagnetite, and the specific magnetization coefficient of 99.99% pure molybdenum is 0.93×10cm/g at 25℃. The specific heat of molybdenum is 242. 8J/ (kg·k) at 25℃. Molybdenum has a relatively high hardness of 5~5.5 Mohs. The evaporation heat of molybdenum at boiling point is 594kJ/mol. Melting heat is 27.6 ±2.9kJ/mol; The heating heat at 25℃ is 659kJ/mol. Molybdenum is a heating body, insulation screen, it has excellent conductivity and thermal conductivity, small coefficient of thermal expansion, strong corrosion resistance and other advantages, mainly used in electric vacuum devices, heating body in high temperature furnace, heat insulation board, material boat, etc., used in the manufacture of molybdenum boat, power semiconductor with molybdenum element pieces and the production of electric vacuum light source parts.
